Message My memory isn't the greatest as to when I chose it, but I do remember having a 286 back then and a 1200 baud modem. The father of my best friend worked at JPL and was telling us about these things called CD-ROMs that held a hundreds of times more data than normal HD floppies. Sometime later I was trying to impress some friends online (yes, I was on a chat BBS way back then...before the internet...when I was like 14) and told them about it. One guy laughed and told me that it was CD-ROM and not seedyrom as I had spelled it :)
A few years later when Yahoo started up, I was one of the first to get an email address and I had chose that on a whim. Since then I've used that email SO much and SO many people know it, I am stuck with it. It carried on to everything and people to this day actively call me "Seedy" in real life :)
